How to Embed the Clock Widget

  1. Pick a city — search and select any of 1,700+ supported cities above.
  2. Customize appearance — auto/light/dark theme, three sizes, optional transparent background, toggle date and timezone label.
  3. Copy the iframe code — the generator produces a single iframe pointing to whattime.city/embed/{city}.
  4. Paste into your site — WordPress (Custom HTML block), Notion (/embed and paste the iframe URL), Squarespace and Wix (Embed Block), Ghost, Webflow, Framer, plain HTML. Works on any platform that accepts iframes.
  5. Verify it loads — save and view your page. The widget auto-updates every second; theme follows visitor day/night unless you set a fixed theme.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the whattime.city clock widget free?

Yes — completely free, no signup. No ads inside the widget, no tracking beyond standard server logs.

Does it work on WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Notion?

Yes. It is a standard iframe embed and works on any platform that allows custom HTML or iframe blocks: WordPress (Custom HTML), Wix and Squarespace (Embed Block), Notion (/embed), Ghost, Webflow, Framer, plain HTML.

Does the widget handle Daylight Saving Time automatically?

Yes. It uses the IANA Time Zone Database, so DST transitions, half-hour offsets (India UTC+5:30), and quarter-hour offsets (Nepal UTC+5:45) are handled automatically. No manual updates at clock-change dates.

How many cities can I embed?

Any of 1,700+ cities. No limit on widgets per page — each iframe runs independently.

Can I customize colors or remove the attribution link?

Choose between auto, light, dark themes; three sizes; toggle date and timezone label. A small "whattime.city" attribution link is part of the free widget — for white-label, contact us.

Does the widget slow down my page?

Around 25 KB total. Loads lazily inside an iframe, does not block your page render. No external script dependencies.
